However, only the Master Ceramist has the best understanding of the capabilities and applications of the materials needed to craft a beautiful new smile. Direct consultation with the Master Ceramist at the earliest possible stage in the restoration process can avoid mistakes and problems later on as well as providing valuable insights for any future work that may be required.

There are 3 potential paths that Jason Kim Labs has designed that the Patient and the Dentist can pursue form interacting effectively with the Master Ceramist. Choosing the right path in each case depends on the extent of the problem and how much work has already been done.

The key to success in each and every case is in recognizing the specific complexities at an early stage and identifying the best Path to follow. Jason Kim has developed and perfected precise methodologies for each of the 3 paths.

This path involves cases that are relatively straightforward and do not necessarily require a Patient/Master Ceramist consultation. A well written prescription and a complete set of diagnostic photographs from the Dentist may be sufficient. While personal observations by the Jason Kim Labs are still the most thorough process, as long as he and the Dentist maintain clear lines of communication, there is confidence that the Patient’s aesthetic goals will be met.

In this path, there is more of a problem present than just the teeth. Perhaps the Patient had gum or periodontal problems. Perhaps implants had to be put in. These clinical situations have been already been addressed before the impression is sent to Jason Kim. The important point is that the impression must reflect this earlier work. By gaining a complete understanding of what is really going on in the patients mouth, Jason Kim Labs will be able to custom-craft its work to suit the specifics of any situation.

This path involves multiple disciplines. In this case the Clinician needs to consult both with Jason Kim Labs and a Specialist (Oral Surgeon, Periodontist, etc.). Multiple consultations will quite likely take place before the case has been completed. There may be consultations between the Doctors as well as between the Patient and Jason Kim.
